Enkhuizen is full of 300 jeer old buildings. Some even are 650 years old.

the city hall

New buildings if the spot of the Enkhuizer cookie factory .

Lots of green :)

Soon, enkhuizen will be 650 Years old.

The old Hospital.

The roofs are all different.

Some buildings look like there brand new again.

Hard to imagine this is all from before 1900

The gardens are a bit small.

The tree is almost to big for the garden.

This is the park, it was opened by our queen Wilhelmina and named after her the - wilhelmina plantsoen-

There is a small island in the park that is full of birds nests. It's a lot more more tree as island.

Some new houses next to the park.

The sea wall, before the people turned the southern sea into the ijselmeer it was a real sea. This wall was all that separated town from sea.

The camping is next to the park the beach sprookjeswonderland and the buitenmuseum.

This way to the beach. :D

A bit of the sea wall.

Part of my bike and the park.

The sea wall and the camping.

The buitenmuseum is a re-build out of even older houses that fell apart around the ijselmeer. It's Greet to see, but I'm not allowed to take pictures sorry. :)

Next to the park we have a nice playground.

This was my first post, I hope you liked it. Soon there will be a part 2 :) You can leave a response below, thanks in advance!

Enkhuizen - the Wilhelmina plantsoen
The Wilhelmina plantsoen was opend by and named after queen Wilhelmina in 1936. Plantsoen is Dutch for park.

The Venedie has several restaurants with terrace.

In the winter this area is used for ice skating.

The Kaasmarkt offers a few bars and discos.

vesting
To protect the city against the often violent sea and enemy invasion two walls were built in the 16th and 17th century. Called "The Sea wall" and "the Vesting wall".

The Enkhuizerzand is the beach in Enkhuizen, a nice view on the boats and the IJsselmeer.

dijk
The dijk is best described as the promenade of Enkhuizen.

The Zuiderhavendijk is one of the first harbours in the Netherlands. Most of Amsterdam was based on this design.

Enkhuizen - the Snouck van loosen park
The Snouckvanloosen family left us a lot of amazing structures, among which this park they had build for their workers.

Fantastic Dutch architecture
In the Breedstraat remain a lot of well renovated monuments.

The Westerstraat is the main shopping street of Enkhuizen.

Enkhuizen - Architectural Monuments
There are quite a lot of monuments in Enkhuizen.
